Great British music magazine sites like NME and Q are good places to find information on new bands and gigs etc. A lot of my favourite Indie type art bands are on the record label 4ad these include musicians like Dead Can Dance and the Cocteau twins.. Clone CD is a great program for replicating CD's for backup use, the program includes weak sector amplification but this feature will be disabled in the UK, the solution is to install the program after you have changed your country code on your PC to Jamaica etc. CD extras are now included on some CD's for example links to web sites etc.

Clickmusic has some good links to competitions and MP3z.

It is easy to create compilation CD's from Albums you already own by ripping the tracks you want as a MP3 files then creating an Audio CD using these tracks. Nero is the best CD writing program for this but you need a CD writer in your PC. Popbitch is a good site for music gossip.
